Forest Edge Retreat

Had a great stay with family. Cabin is cozy with great amenities. Property backs to open land is extremely peaceful to sit out on the back deck.

This cabin was perfect for our group of seven. Everything was clean and organized, We loved how everything was less than 10min away. I would definitely come back and stay here again.!

Forest Edge cabin was very nice. The cleanliness was among the best I have ever experienced in a rental. The beds were super-comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Proximity to all that Big Bear has to offer is exceptional, yet the location still is super quiet in a nice neighborhood, with great views and a FANTASTIC deck with grill. Also, my kids absolutely loved being able to play foosball, pool, and magnetic darts. That provided HOURS of fun and family binding. Thank you!There were a couple confusing issues, but the responsiveness of the COOL CABINS team was second to none. Each time I needed a question answered, they responded within minutes. The confusing issues (VERY minor, but notable):1. KITCHEN SUPPLIES: The kitchen is not really a chefs kitchen. Lots of missing items (lids for most pans, measuring cups, measuring spoons, other essentials like cooking oil, etc.). Plenty of cups, silverware, and plates and bowls, so I suspect most people who rent here order take-out rather than cook. Granted, town is not too far, so we could stock up on what we needed to cook meals. 2. STREAMING SERVICES: Maybe I am old, but when I read "streaming services" on the listing I thought that was included. I guess you have to log in with your own accounts if you have them. So if you do not already subscribe to those streaming services, they are not available. 3. BOARD GAMES: we are a family of board-game players, so this was another thing I saw on the listing that made me pick Forest Edge. There were some bags of game pieces, but I could not find any complete games. These are all MINOR things, and I would not change my rating because of them. But they all were things that made me pick Forest Edge rather than other cabins. Friends of ours rented other cabins nearby for the same days, so I saw that their rentals had all these perks (stocked kitchen, games, streaming services) which made me feel a bit misled. But I definitely WOULD stay at Forest Edge Retreat again without hesitation, and MOST certainly would trust COOL CABINS for any rental.

Located just the rite distance away from all things big bear. So many hiking trails we're just a few minutes drive away. Not to far from downtown bear. The cabin itself is such a nice and quaint getaway that backs directly up to the forest. There's a wonderful game room downstairs along with enough space to comfortably sleep 6 adults, and then some. If the opportunity presents itself, would love to come back and stay here again.

I originally reserved a different cabin but the day of arrival the cabin had a small problem that couldnt be solve. I was surprised and very impressed how fast professional and accommodating BBCC relocated us. Definitely booking with them again and i will recommend them to all my friends and family

I love booking with cool cabins because they always give me and my family great customer service! I love the caneu coupon! That is part of the reason why I continued to book with them!

This place deserves nothing less than a five star review. This was the perfect getaway for my family. Our older kids visited from Texas and we wanted to give them 2 days of fun in the snow. We all loved everything about this cabin. We enjoyed all the views, and the Great location. The accommodations were excellent! The cabin was clean and very well stocked with all necessities, kitchen was perfectly equipped with all of the utensils, pots, & pans you need for cooking. We had enough hot water for everyone's showers and comfy beds for all. I personally loved how cozy and warm the decor was done. They loves the pool and Foosball table that were available. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, and close to the slopes. My kids where so happy they want the same cabin next yr. I can't wait until my next Big Bear getaway. Our family plans to visit again and stay longer.
