"Cute cabin, very clean but rustic"

5 of 5

Spent 2 nights at lake cottage. Enjoyed very much. Cabin is rustic but clean and well equipped. All bedrooms are upstairs with the bath downstairs so I slept on couch which was comfy. My mistake, should have noticed that. Good location, quiet neighborhood. Easy short drive to all in big bear. Not private , houses on all sides and though you can walk to lake, you can't get to it because of other properties. Service thru cool cabins was good. They work hard to fix any issues. Not sure if I would stay in cabin again only because during my stay I found other ares of big bear I liked better. Great cabin for the money and when you are just getting your bearings. Brought a dog with me and enjoyed many walks in the neighborhood.

"Enjoyed my cabin"

4 of 5

Enjoyed my cabin. Dealing with cool cabins was ok. Very friendly and personable. Had a few minor issues- firewood and gift basket not in room, wifi not working. They were very responsive and worked hard to fix the problems. Cabin though was clean and as advertised, will use again.

"Cozy little family cabin"

5 of 5

We stayed at the Lake Cottage for 3 days during spring break and were delighted with the cozy, little cabin. There was plenty of sleeping space, a full kitchen, a comfy living room, a fully fenced yard for our dog, and a spa for us to relax in after a day of hiking. It was a short walk to the lake, a quiet neighborhood, and no raccoons came to visit us. We plan to make this a regular vacationing spot.

"Fun friends weekend in a cozy cabin"

4 of 5

The service we received was prompt and easy, checkout can be done with just a phone call. There were no issues with the cabin once we arrived: everything was very clean, the hot tub was great, showers were hot, the beds were hard to sleep on, there is only one bathroom, and only one door upstairs. This place might be a bit too small for a large group or family, but for a small group of close people it's perfect.

"Everything we had hoped for"

5 of 5

My BFF and I along with the dog, wanted a nice rustic mountain cabin with a few amenities for a 3 day R and R trip. This was just right. The cabin was a typical rustic mountain cabin in terms of decor, but the fireplace had a great draw and the evening fires added a perfect ambiance. the hot tub in the back was just right and the fenced yard, although quite small was just big enough so the dog could go out when he needed and we didn't have to worry about him. We were able to walk to the village from the cabin and enjoy some window shopping. We really appreciated the quiet neighborhood too. We had a great time!

"Absolutely charming! Old-fashioned, rustic and adorable as the n"

4 of 5

First, the staff at Big Bear Cool Cabins are very friendly and their office is easy to find.Check in took less than 5 minutes. I found them very helpful and easy going to work with in general so I recommend highly! The cabin was in an quaint little neighborhood. Not super quiet as there are appear to be a lot of neighboring children but this wasn't an issue. The cabin looks exactly as the pictures show, it's a cute rustic little cottage. It's older and I would say the furnishing are on the older side as well but IMO not run down and it was all very cozy. The furnace worked great, all appliances worked well, and I had no problems with the shower getting hot though my husband did on the first day. The shower is very small as is the bathroom, but not an issue for us. The bathroom also has it's own wall heater which is nice on cold mornings. The master bedroom was small but comfortable. Note: it's the only bedroom area with it's own door so consider this if going with a group. The remaining beds are right outside the master bedroom door. Two of the beds are next to eachother, separated only by a dresser and small tv. The other bed is near the stairs across the room from the 2 bed combo. There is a thin curtain to separate these two sleeping areas, but not ideal for a group of adults that maybe aren't family or who would want more privacy. There are two small hall closet-like spaces upstairs in the sleeping area; fine for us but with a group not ideal. I think this cabin is perfect for a couple or young family. The backyard was a treat with a nice deck, apple tree, and hot tub.The fenced yard was perfect for our big dog/escape artist. It's a very short walk to the lake, Log Cabin Restaurant, and antique shop. After a full day of hiking nothing beat a soak in the tub or cuddling by the fireplace playing games or making s'mores. Lake Cottage was our ideal relaxing hideaway in the woods.Ps to Cool Cabins, replace the worn towels and add a lighter/matches for the fire

"Cute cabin, not prime location for summer fun"

4 of 5

We stayed here in august. The cabin has a real cozy feel to it. I loved that the yard is fenced in, our dogs got to roam around freely. The only thing that we didn't like about the cabin was the location. You have to drive to get to a part of the lake that isn't on someone's property and you're also very close quarters with the neighboring cabins (no backyard privacy whatsoever). Everything worked great during our stay, including the hot tub, hot water, fridge, and stove. If you stay at this cabin make sure you check out Big Bear Mountain Brewery just up the road. It's an awesome little micro brewery. We had the best night there. We wouldn't stay at this cabin again only because of the location- we'd like to be either further in the woods or closer to the lake. We would however rent through this company again- service was very good.

"no hot water but good"

almost everything are terrific except the water. In the kitchen, there was no hot water so that I had to wash the dishes with cold water. Except that, I was satisfied.

"Awesome"

4 of 5

This place was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. Hot tub was perfect! Relaxing and enjoyable. Check in was a little tough. I had chosen a different cabin which was a mess and shouldn't be rented out. (Serenity)However, the staff was wonderful and put us up in this place which more than made up for the situation. Thank you for the awesome service.

"Cozy cottage"

4 of 5

Loved this little cottage for a family getaway to the mountains. Booking and check in were a breeze. Exactly what you see in the photos is what you get, a charming little cabin. Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen was a little small but still fit our needs just fine. Stored plenty of food and snacks for a hungry bunch and it had everything necessary to cook a great meal.Loved the canopy style beds and rustic, woodsy decor of the cabin. Hot tub was clean and hot. Perfect for the pups too, fenced in yard made for worry free play for the kids and dogs. Location was excellent, small market right up the street, nice quiet nieghborhood and steps away from the lake. Short drive to Village, snow play and lots of other shops and convience stores. Only cons would be bathroom is downstairs in the mud room right by the back door, would've preferred it away from the back door but no biggie and not much privacy in the sleeping quarters but again no biggie for my group. So to sum it up had a great time at the Lake Cottage.

"Warm and cozy."

4 of 5

I stayed here with my sons and our dogs and we had a great time. We had plenty of snowfall and we stayed warm and cozy. The cabin shower had excellent water pressure. The hot tub was clean and worked great. Everybody in Big Bear is nice and friendly. The hot water did not work in the kitchen but that was the only thing wrong with this cabin. It was clean and well maintained. We would definitely rent this cabin again.
