BEAUTIFUL WOODED ESCAPE!
The Romantic Getaway is tucked in between the trees, within walking distance to a few great restaurants, breakfast places, stores, Big Bear Snow Play, hiking, Oktoberfest, and horseback riding.
LIVING SPACE - Cozy 570 sq ft home with living room, ceiling fan, dining table, wood burning stove fireplace, and plenty of comfortable living room seating.
ROOMS & BEDS - 1 bedroom, 1 bath. Bedroom has a king-sized Tempur-Pedic log-framed bed and TV. Living room has a sleeper sofa. Extra blankets and pillows are available.
KITCHEN - Knotty pine cabinetry, stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, and more.
AMENITIES - Board games and card games. Satellite TVs, fast Wi-Fi, and a DVD player. Relax in the glow of the cozy wood burning stove fireplace.
OUTDOORS - Hot tub and outdoor barbecue. Fully fenced wooded yard and forest views.
PARKING - 2 car driveway
Other things to note:
Per county requirements, we are permitted a maximum occupancy of 4 guests. Children, toddlers, and infants do count as a person. Please do not book or arrive with more than the maximum or you could be fined from the city and evicted with no refund.

It was a great spot for myself and 2 relatives. We enjoyed the hot tub being on already and ready for use. Easy check in and check out. Close to lots of food spots and big bear snowplay. We enjoyed it!

The check in and check out process were all done via online/text. The process went very smoothly. We never had to stop by the office for anything. Customer service was great, any time we send a question via text, it was answered promptly (within 1-2min). We definitely will use this company again on our next vacation in Big Bear.

My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate my 30th birthday. We fell absolutely in love with this cozy little cabin! The check in and check out process was so easy. We loved using the jacuzzi every night and contacting management was a breeze! In hindsight we should have contacted them earlier and asked them to turn on the hot tub because it took a day to heat up (winter time!) but it was awesome! We loved it so much and can't wait to come back. It was the perfect get away and the location was fantastic!

We stayed in Big Bear Cool Cabins 'Romantic Getaway' and loved it!The location was generally very quiet and nestled among the trees. The cabin in general was very clean including the bbq. The hot tub, which is located outside the bedroom window, seemed very new and was high-end. It made quite a loud noise into the night though (I highly doubt it is supposed to that). The parking directly in front of the cabin's front yard was a concrete slab easily big enough for two cars. One thing to watch for is the curb on the slab...low cars like mine will have difficulty getting up on the slab without scraping....needs a bit of maintenance. The bed was super comfy and bathroom nicely appointed. TV in living room and bedroom both have apps like netflix, prime, hulu...but be ready for tv remote hell! :)Big Bear Cool Cabins were super easy to work with for the booking and check-in/check-out process. Very helpful staff and prompt communication. My only ask is they change their trash disposal policy...at the moment you have to dispose of your own trash upon checkout, which is inconvenient.We will be going back to Romantic Getaway for sure... really cozy romantic cabin to stay in and we thoroughly enjoed it!

The neighborhood was quiet. The kitchen was stocked with the basics. The place was immaculate. The wifi was better than my service at home! Someone mentioned the hot tub running. Honestly, I could hear it but it did not bother me. I usually sleep with a sound machine anyways. The neighbors were really nice to us. I would definitely stay there again.

The booking, checking in and out process was super smooth. The place was exactly what we were looking for: 1 bedroom 1 bath w/kitchen. The wifi was amazing even though we were not expecting to have wifi during our stay. The hot tub was a must and it was nice. Someone complained on a previous post that the hot tub running was too loud for them. Yes, I heard it since it's in the back yard by the bedroom window but I did not mind it. I sleep with a sound system so the humming was not a problem.

Big Bear is a forest and I hope people understand that small bugs and twigs ect. are like glitter up there and they appear as fast as you can remove them. The hot tub was amazing, I was specifically looking for a pool/hot tub in the woods and that's what I got, a mid night soak with nothing but a sky full of stars and trees. My guests made noise much to late and the neighbors were extremely forgiving and politely asked us to keep it down, so a very friendly community, great area for late night walks. Long story still long it was great and I got exactly what I paid for and what I was looking for. 11/10 stay

After a day of snowboarding, we arrived to the Romantic Getaway with lights and heater on ready for us to relax. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was the perfect ending to our day and was easy to get to and enjoy! Highly recommend!

I felt the pictures and description gave me an accurate idea of the property upon arrival. They've since moved the spa back behind the house, which was a great idea (more privacy than the side yard). My wife and I really enjoyed staying the night here. We would definitely consider renting this unit again in the future.

We really spent a wonderful romantic time as we stayed there.They had an outside comfortable Jacuzzi under brilliant stars and a moon light.They had a classic fire pit inside that made us feel so romantic!We will go back there for sure when they have a good deal!

I would recommend renting a cabin over a hotel any day! We had peace and quiet and enjoyed every minute we were there! They have everything you need including a jacuzzi. Much needed relaxation! Perfect weekend!

I had booked the romantic getaway for my boyfriends birthday- After I had booked the room I found yelp. I read all the horrible reviews for cool cabins. I was worried; to say the least. However, when I arrived it was perfect!My boyfriend and I arrived much too early, thinking that we would not be able to check in and would have to go wonder for a few hours before we could go to the cabin.However when we got to the check in, they gave us the address for the cabin and told us we go to the cabin right away.(Awesome!) Once we got to the cabin It could not have been better- It was clean and adorable. Two TV's and BBQ in the back and a Jacuzzi, which unfortunately we didn't use. I did check it out and it was clean and heated.The best part was it only took five minutes for us to get to the lake and start fishing! We also met the neighbors who own their cabin. They were super nice! Only down fall to the cabin was we had to take out our own trash- So it's almost feels like your renting from a friend, You have to clean up before you leave.I will defiantly use cool cabins again. I had a great time and I earned major brownie points with my boyfriend for planning such a awesome trip for his B-day!Thank you cool cabins

My boyfriend and I had signed up to rent the Romantic Getaway cabin (Reservation #194287) for the last week of August. Being a Marine, he is subject to the higher commanding officers. He found out just five days before we were scheduled to leave that he was required to work that weekend. We hadn't purchased traveler's insurance so it looked like we were going to be out the money. I called the office to see if there was any way we would be able to reschedule our trip. We were able to reschedule the same cabin for the following weekend without any additional fees. We were so delighted so we added on an extra day for the Labor Day weekend.A few days before we left I got a phone call from the office asking if I had any questions about our trip and if we needed anything. I haven't had that kind of service in a while.We got to the cabin and it couldn't have been better. Everything was clean and adorable. I think we spent more time in the cabin just hanging out watching TV than we did hiking and off roading. We spent one evening in the Jacuzzi which was really nice and relaxing. The view of the stars wasn't quite as I had hoped since there were lots of trees blocking a big part of the view from the hot tub, but it was still really great.Overall I was very pleased with this trip and will use them again for my next trip to Big Bear.
