I left a bag filled with important toiletries in a beautiful cabin I stayed in. I came back home the day shelter in place was ordered for big bear community due to corona virus. I didn't realize that I had forgotten my bag until I got home 3 hours away. When I called everything was closed including housekeeping due to the instructions of shelter in place. Elizabeth from maintenance made arrangements for one of her staff members, Sandy to make a special trip to find my bag. Elizabeth then packed it up for me and sandy brought it to ups to send it immediately for me. Within 2 days I received my bag. Now if this is not going above and beyond for customers then I don't know what is ! Cool cabins and their staff members, especially Elizabeth and Sandy deserve ten stars!! Thank you so much!

This little quaint cabin was the perfect little get away for me and momma. It was located just enough off the road to feel secluded, yet close to the village and Snow Summit. Not very big, but who needs big when you want a cozy romantic get away!!

We obviously love this cabin, been here now 3 times in the past 6 or so years. It has a secluded feel, neighbors aren't too close, and its up on a hill. Very small, but for just the 2 of us + dog, its perfectly fine. Easy check in and out. The cost is very affordable on a lot of dates. Hot tub is good enough, enough comfort items are here. The Cons are the same Cons we experienced years ago. Driveway is steep and needs repaved, getting worse. Lighting in cabin a bit on the dark side (but acceptable) The "path" you have to walk to the hot tub is not ideal - lots of uneven crumbled pavement , twigs, rocks, etc. (would be nice if there were some good stepping stones leading to the hot tub, assuming the whole driveway area isnt planned to be repaved. Shower is LOL small, but sufficient. The couches are dissapointing, look dirty, not very comfy - same furniiture as always, but more stained now. We had a thought to utilize the hide-away bed , to sleep by the fireplace - wasn't worth the effort, mattress wasnt clean. We may try a different cabin experience elsewhere next time, but, this place still does feel like our Big Bear "home" and we had yet another peaceful wonderful time here. We'll prob be back if the "elsewhere" experience isnt worth it. I still love this cozy cabin, despite the flaws.

"Watch out"

The driveway is dangerous, the spa had so many chemicals in it we couldn’t use it, the cabin is very dark with lighting, furniture is uncomfortable and there was dog poop in the yard not from our dog .. Save your money and look for a different cabin!!!

Stayed here the end of Nov for three nights. Took my Fiancee and my dog for the firts time in Big Bear Lake. Place was clean, quiet and walking distance to the Village and lake. Cabin has all you need, kitchen utilities, sat., fast wifi, heat/fire place all the amenities needed for you. This cabin is big enought for three people and a pet. My dog loved it and felt at home. This cabin is ran through Big Bear Cool Cabins not BRVO. The staff at Cool Cabins is great!. Very nice and helpful staff. Dont book throught BRVO they are a middle man and will charge you a fee.

Cute, cozy, private cabin. Very small on the inside, especially the bathroom and shower. So if you’re on the taller side, you may feel a little claustrophobic. We cooked dinner and breakfast there, and it had the basic cooking essentials we needed. The fireplace was cozy and the hot tub was ready to go. The drive way is a bit hidden and pretty steep, so I wouldn’t bring a fancy car down it. Communication was easy and really good. Good for a one night quiet getaway for 2.

Nice, cozy, quiet little cabin for our girls getaway. Hot tub didn't maintain heat and a bit small for 2 adults and 2 smallish 12-year-olds, but was nice to soak under the stars. Close to The Village hot spots where we could walk to dinner and nearby hiking trail, which was fabulous! My first time at Big Bear so it was a treat! Thanks!

Clean cabin with everything you need. Comfy bed, nice hot tub, full kitchen, and nice view from the deck. Short walk to the village and lake. Liquor/convenience store at the end of the street. Tiny shower, but a minor inconvenience for a great place.

It was the perfect, little cozy cabin get away I was looking forward too. The cabin was everything I expected & more. Secluded & in the middle of beautiful pine trees with a beautiful hot tub and nothing but nature surrounding us. It’s great if you’re trying to forget about the city for a little while. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We stayed at ski bunny lodge.. and the cabin was definitely cute the best customer service I will have to say if we were ever going to stay there again they will definately need to replace the couches and the rollout bed they were so uncomfortable actually when you roll out the bed your slanted backwards we took a two hour nap and woke up with a sore back it was furnished with everything we need the bathroom showers extremely small 12 x 12 it has been actually measured at LOL love the hot tub and we felt like we were a little cabin in the woods

Perfect cabin for two people, Great location – One block away from the village. Pet-friendly is a nice bonus, our dogs had a great time vacationing with us! The Jacuzzi was clean and worked perfectly, it was a wonderful way to relax in the afternoon, we also loved using the stone fireplace in the evening. The cabin is well appointed with most items you would need to cook ( needs new nonstick skillet ). The rental company was efficient and easy to work with. We would stay in Ski Bunny Lodge again.

Cool Cabins is always helpful and their service is excellent. We liked that this cozy cabin was walking distance to the Village shops but it still felt private and woodsy. We asked to stay an extra night but it's no wonder it was already booked. We hope to come back soon.

Always excellent service and we always have an amazing stay. Can't wait to book another cabin soon. The cabin was clean and had a nice hot tub. It was amazing to get to sit in a hot tub in Big Bear and stare at the beautiful woods.

We were quite happy with the Ski Bunny Lodge. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi. However, The motion light by the Jacuzzi did not stay on long enough to get in & out. The pots & pans could could be updated. There was not a good pan to fry eggs in.

"GREAT CABIN TO STAY AT!!!"

We had a great time at cabin with my family. The only complaint is that the cabin wasn't clean when we check in at 4pm I had to call for them to come and clean the cabin and bed not made and food left in the refrigerator from the last family that stayed there. That"s the only reason for the 4 star review. Cabin was very cozy and a great view and very close to everything in town. Pet friendly too my English bulldog Jasper had a great time in the snow. I would Definitely come back to stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

"We had a very pleasant experience!"

My husband and I stayed in the Ski Bunny Lodge over the weekend in mid-August. We had never been to Big Bear before, so I wanted to find a place within walking distance to the main part of town and the lake so we didn't have to drive anywhere. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. PROS - The Cool Cabins staff was very polite and professional, and answered all our questions satisfactorily. - The CC office is open until 10pm on Fridays, which was great as we ended up leaving home later than we originally intended. They texted us at 9pm to make sure we were still on for the reservation, and we assured them that we were on our way. - Walking distance to Big Bear Lake and the Village. - Cute cabin. Not over-decorated, nothing too fancy, but well-built and comfortable. Big deck, although we didn't use it much. - Cabin was well-stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, etc. (could use some covers for the pots, though). Others have complained that there wasn't cooking oil etc. but you're expected to bring your own food if you're going to cook, or else you can have them deliver what you need. There's also a small general store right around the corner from the cabin so if we did need anything, we would've been set. - Quiet (not sure why the other poster who stayed here said it was loud from traffic; we had the windows open all night and heard nothing but standard forest noise). - I ordered the Romance package, as the trip was a romantic surprise for my husband. He was very happy with the results, and we got to take the champagne flutes, roses, candles, and candelabras home afterwards. - Everything was very clean when we arrived. New, comfortable clean sheets and blankets. New, comfortable couches in the main living area. CONS - Getting into the Ski Bunny Lodge driveway at 10pm was downright frightening when we first arrived; the entrance of the driveway is at the crest of a hill, and you get to it from a side street, which is also going uphill, so you can't really tell where the driveway starts. I had my husband get out of the car and guide me the first night. After that, the driveway was fine (although it may need to be repaved soon; there's a big gaping pothole in the middle of it). I suggest marking the entrance a bit clearer so guests who come at night can see where they're supposed to go. - Not much of a view of the lake. I could only just see it through the trees from the deck. One other poster mentioned that it may be easier to see the lake from the cabin in winter. - Bed was very soft, without any support, like it was one mattress piled on top of another. - Tiny shower. Fine to deal with for a few days, but worth noting. - Towels not that great quality, but I didn't expect anything fancy. - The fire alarm is very sensitive; we used two of the burners of the stove to cook breakfast and the alarm went off without us actually burning anything, or even cooking higher than medium heat. It took us a little while to realize that the switch for the exhaust fan for the main room of the cabin (kitchen/living area) was actually in the bedroom, next to the light. We turned that on and opened the front door to air out the cabin, which wasn't a big deal...but I'd hate to have to do that in winter, or at night. I couldn't find anything in the cabin's documentation regarding using the exhaust fan. - When we were about to leave, I couldn't find a dustpan (it says to leave the cabin in approximately the same condition as it was when you arrived), but cleaned up the stuff from the floor (mostly rose petals from the aforementioned Romance package) as best I could. This is very minor, and I already notified CC about the lack of dustpan. TLDR: we enjoyed our stay in the Ski Bunny Lodge, but will probably shell out a bit more next time to rent a fancier place a little farther out, now that we are more familiar with the area.
