Spring time is a beautiful time in Big Bear and being only a couple of hours from other California hot spots, it's a go to destination for your spring relaxation.

Big Bear has something for everyone in the Spring  Lots of fun to be had on the lake, in town, or in the surrounding National Forest.  Fish from the shore or hire a guide through Big Bear Charter Fishing.  Rent a canoe or a kayak from one of the local rental stores or rent a pontoon from Holloway's Marina.   In town, hit up the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, an animal rescue zoo dedicated to those that have been injured or would not survive in the wild. Big Bear is also well known for its beautiful biking trails and mountain bikers come from all over the world to ride our paths. Big Bear Lake is surrounded by the National Forest and has hiking trails for all different ages and abilities.  My favorite is Castle Rock, a 2.6 mile moderate trail.  It's ok to take a few breaks to take pictures!  You may see some wildlife and dogs are welcome to come along.  Afterwards grab a bite to eat at any of our incredible restaurants and then to relax after your adventure in one of our  vacation rentals from Big Bear Cool Cabins.  Lots of general info to be had also at www.bigbear.com
