Fresh powder is on the slopes! With snow falling this week in the Big Bear valley our outdoor recreation activities are going strong. Big Bear is home to two of SoCals best ski and board resorts. Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are located centrally in Big Bear and a pass to one gets you entry to the other! Bear Mountain offers Southern California's only superpipe for those interested in terrain park activities while Snow Summit offers a designated beginners' area and a family-friendly experience. Big Bear Cool Cabins has an abundance of properties located within a mile of either resort. This will keep you close to the action and ready to hit the slopes at a moment's notice!
According to the resorts you don't have to reserve ahead but you can purchase in advance online to ensure you get the best rates on lift tickets, availability for lessons, and rental gear in your size! Lift tickets are required for on-hill activities – Skiing, Snowboarding, Tube Park, etc. – and special events. Guests that buy in advance will receive a confirmation with a barcode and can skip the ticket windows and head straight to a pickup box. This will save you tons of time!
