Hiking is one of the most popular activities in Big Bear, and it’s FREE! You might see some squirrels and chipmunks along the hiking trails, but best of all, some gorgeous views.  We’ve made a list of some of our favorite trails up here. Don’t forget to bring your water and phone to take lots of pictures!

Castle Rock Trail

The most popular trail of all! This 2.4 miles round-trip trail is the one you have to go to if you want to have a true Big Bear experience.

Pine Knot Trail

This trail is perfect for the whole family! It’s not too hard, but it’s just the perfect hike along the forest. You can  even bring your mountain bike.

*You’ll need an Adventure Pass for this one!

Woodland Trail

Take a self-guided tour along this 1.5 mile loop. There’s not much of a view here, but there is lots to learn about!
