The fishing season is off to a great start.  This is the best spring bite we have had in years, all of the trout being caught are solid 14-18 inch beauties!  We have been fishing the west end of the lake from Boulder Bay to the dam.  The fish are being caught from the surface to 15 feet down.  Pink has been the hot color, you can fish Needle Fish, Dick Nites, Meps Syclops, or Thomas Buoyants as long as they are pink.  The fish have been very aggressive jumping several times before you get them in, make sure to check your drag and use a light parabolic rod to help keep them hooked up.  I use a 7’6” St Croix Wild River Rod (Model: WRKC76LM) for trolling with down riggers.
