Village Hideaway

Our favorite cabin that we rent each time we visit Big Bear Lake! Elizabeth is my go to person each time I reserve a cabin or any issues I may have! Elizabeth and the rest of the BBCC Team provide exceptional Customer Service! Truly a very pleasurable experience each time we visit!

The Village Hideaway was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway. The bedrooms were cozy, the bathrooms clean, and the furniture, wall panels and fireplace were beautiful. The cabin was walking distance to fun activities and good restaurants. I would definitely recommend this cabin to stay in when you visit Big Bear Lake. I look forward to coming back soon!

Overall the location of the cabin is perfect. It’s a small walk to downtown so easy with kids. The cabin is nice and cozy. The mattresses can use some updating but not a deal breaker.

Very clean and cute cabin. Literally a 2 minute walk to The Village. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will hopefully return to this same cabin in the future - it was perfect for us.

I rent the same cabin every three months. It’s a little rough and probably over pay for what it is but my daughter likes that particular cabin and every cabin I have ever rented from BBCC has always been clean and the staff are all great people so I don’t have any reason to look anywhere else. If you don’t put too much thought into it and accept the cabins with their flaws you will have a great time. Only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was they now charge $25 an hour to check in early. The cabin is literally ready to go and sitting empty whenever the cleaning crew is done with it but they charge to go in early where if you stay at the lodge they will let you In as soon as it’s clean, even if it’s 8am as a courtesy for free. Just good business. It bugs me more knowing that I always check out super early allowing them to make extra money on my trips and I do that every three months BUT that where thinking too much will ruin the vacation.

We had an amazing stay at Village Hideaway! The location is perfect and extremely close to the lake and village. The property was clean and had everything we need. We loved relaxing by the fireplace and truly had a great time. Can’t wait to return!

The cabin is a perfect combination of a hotel with basic provisions (linens, etc.) and personal home (full size kitchen, dining table, family games) with enough space for the whole family (parking too)! Aside from the creature comforts it is perfectly located a short walk from the village full of shops and restaurants as well as the boat dock, yet far enough away not to be in the middle of town (not that it gets very noisy anyway). A beautiful place to relax and unwind or be as active as you want.

The cabin is clean and cozy with plenty of amenities. Furnished like a hotel with fresh linens and basic toiletries as well as a full sized kitchen outfitted with pots, pans, dishes and a dinette you literally feel you are in your home away from home. A short walk later you are in the heart of the village with shops and restaurants at your fingertips. A wonderful retreat.

Cute little cabin in really great proximity to the village. I think if the cabin was deep cleaned, had new mattresses and new bedding, it would be a really great experience.

The only we could have asked for was more snow... but this is in Mother Natures' control, not ours. Our experience with Big Bear Cool Cabins was simple and seamless. Check-in and Check out.... easy. Village Hideaway cabin was clean and well-appointed. Could walk to the Village and a 5-minute drive to Snow Summit and Alpine Slide. This was an awesome experience. Thank you.

Perfect location, nice and cozy. The back yard is not fully fenced which made it inconvenient when wanting to let the dogs out. Besides that great place.

It was nice to be walking distance to town and the lake. The cabin had everything we needed and was just like the photos.

Our family has rented homes in Big Bear Lake for years, though we've typically been further up the mountain in the Moonridge area. The location of this home was perfect: walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Being able to walk everywhere saved us time (and aggravation) looking for a parking spot. Cabin was clean and the perfect size for our family of 4 and beagle. Kids loved building a snowman in the yard.

My family loved it, we will make another trip out there. This place is amazing, thank you so much for being so attentive. 10/10!

Cabin is walking distance to village and all the restaurants/bars. Cabin is clean and has everything needed for a great stay. Roads were closed getting up to Big Bear and Cool Cabins offered a credit if we didn't want to wait for the roads to open. We waited and made it up about 11pm.

Great cabin definitely would recommend ..very convenient to town..most importantly it was clean and well equipped..

We wanted a location within walking distance to the village and this was perfect - just around the corner from shops and restaurants. The cabin was clean and nicely organized (not too cluttered). It had plenty of towels, bed linens, and a nicely stocked kitchen.

I loved the place. My friends and I were up at Big Bear for Tour de Big Bear. Large and fully large enough for 6 of us. Was a little warm during the day but we spent most of the day away from the cabin. Would come back and so would my friends! Thank you so much!

Super cute cabin. Nicely appointed. Steps away from all the village has to offer and a short walk to the marina and lake. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked this cottage for memorial weekend and enjoyed every minute of it! It was perfect for our family of 4 (mom/dad/son 7/son 6). It was a very conveinient location to the village. We were able to walk to several different restaurants and shops with ease. Surprisingly it was very quiet considering how close we were to the town. Would absolutely stay again!

Location is perfect - 1-2 min walk to all restaurants/bars in the Village, but far enough that there are not crowds of people walking in front of the cabin at all times of the day. Only 3 adults in our group, plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be to replace the shower head, very little water pressure (probably due to calcium build-up in the shower head).

Great location , 1 minute walk and your on the main street in town close to entertainment and dining. Cabin was clean and well decorated. Had an issue lighting fireplace but someone from maintenance was at our door in under 5 minutes to fix. Awesome!

The house was great, cozy and comfortable and clean. The best thing about it was the location, a block from the Village and a block from the main road. Unfortunately they were doing construction on the main road, so traffic was diverted down our little road and there were a lot of big trucks driving by. But that wouldn't be the case on a normal day. The yard was big but very unkempt and we weren't very comfortable even walking around in it, and the fence didn't completely surround the yard so I couldn't let the dog out without going out with her.

We had a great experience using cool cabins. We rented a cabin in big bear and found one right by the village. It was even better than the ad. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We came up the mountain and we were checked in early. It was great to be able to put everything in the cabin before going out on the lake

Great location in the heart of the village and two blocks from one of the marinas. I would definitely recommend this cabin. It is better than the pictures. Slept the 5 in our party with plenty of rooms. Very quiet considering the location.

Very clean! It was so nice to be so close to the Village. There is nothing better than walking to either a breakfast, lunch or a dinner and strolling home. Great size kitchen for a cabin, plenty of room to move around. Great front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. We will be returning!!!

Rented this cabin in Big Bear because my husband was participating in the Big Bear Triathlon. It was clean and had most amenities a person would need. The location was excellent: a short 1 block walk to the Village and 2 blocks from the Tri-staging area and lake access. Would have given 5 stars if: being a "pet friendly" rental, it would've had a fully fenced yard and had been mowed; maybe a window AC unit as it was a hot weekend; if it had a BBQ. Overall it was a great experience and the staff at the check-in location were great!

This cabin looks like it has been updated on the inside..very nice decor and furnishings that give that cozy cabin feel , nice fireplace , they have movies, cards and a chess game . I loved the kitchen table. It is close to the village so you can walk everywhere ..
