The view, the cabin , the location… all made for a great trip. The fenced in dog friendly yard was amazing for our dogs. Sitting out on the deck at night playing games was relaxing. Great restaurants nearby. Didn't cook in kitchen but made use of the bbq. Will be returning to this cabin again!

I went to Stillwater Cove Lakefront by myself to regenerate and recharge, away from the many stressors in my life right now. My lupus is very active right now and I needed a few days alone so my body could get some relief. Being so close to the lake so I could take easy strolls along the shore was just what I needed, since fatigue is an huge issue right now. And being able to see the lake from the cabin windows refreshed my soul. I will definitely be using this cabin again. A massive thank you to the owners for making their home so comfortable and sharing it with others.

The cabin was great. Well equipped. We stayed for 10 days. Considering this was dog friendly one of the gates did not lock so we had to rig it. The master bed was extremely soft but the other bedroom was perfect.

Robinson's Roost cabin was a cozy, thoughtfully well-appointed home base for a lovely fall foliage week in Big Bear. We especially appreciated the quiet, neighborhood, early and late sunlight drenching the living and dining areas, wi-fi and smart TV and an easy-to-navigate, functional kitchen, which allowed us to stay in...and relax!

This cabin was amazing for a long weekend trip. The view out to the lake and around the house was beautiful and it was very quiet and peaceful. We brought our dog and he loved running around in the yard and walking down to the lake. Beware if you have small dogs they may be able to get out under the fence in a few areas.Everything in the house worked well, the beds were very cozy, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
We are extremely satisfied with the service we have received.

We had the most amazing stay at this cabin. The location was hands down the most relaxing place we have stayed at up in Big Bear. The cabin was clean,warm & cozy. It had everthing we needed . We had our dogs and they loved the fenced garden , we all enjoyed lazy afternoons out on the deck watching the lake . We rented a pontoon boat from the marina close by , that was a great day out . Big Bear never disapoints when we come up every year in October . Thank you Big Bear Cool Cabins for another great stay!

It was a wonderful little cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The views are just beautiful. The large fireplace in the cozy family-room was wonderful. We plan on renting the exact same little cabin on our next visit. The check-in and check-out was really well done.

To be honest, we pick the places we stay according to how great the yards is for our dogs and the view for us and this one was absolute perfection for both categories. They loved running around all weekend and we enjoyed relaxing while they did it. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

We had so much fun staying at the Stillwater Cove Lakefront cabin. Beautiful view of the lake! Cabin has its own dock for fishing or evenings sitting on the lake. Cabin was clean with a beautiful kitchen space. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect cozy cabin for our party of 4. Kitchen had the basics that we needed to cook our meals. The backyard overlooks the lake and was stunning. Plenty of shade on a warm day to just relax outside and listen to the birds. Great fenced in yard for medium or larger dogs - there are a few places around the perimeter that smaller dogs could get under. We were able to fish off the dock that was steps away from the back gate. Next time, we’ll rent kayaks and walk them right out to the water. Parking is very tight - one car only on a half-driveway. Our second car was able to be parked at the main office with no trouble at all. We will absolutely stay here again!

This gem of a cabin provided us with a lush and serene and magical place to unwind and relax with our two dogs. Plus take our boat out from the dock provided. It was everything we could ask for and more. The decor and kitchen are wonderful. Completely loved this space. Views from every window too. The deck and lounge chairs provided in the expansive yard with unmatched lake views make for an incredible experience. 5+ stars

Everything was great with the house. There were a couple areas where the communications with host could improve though. Lack of clarity around accessing the house. Messages with host indicated that a code would be provided the day of to enter the property. Once getting to the property we were told we had to drive to office to get a key. This was frustrating since we would have stopped at the office on the way up to get the key if we would have know. Instead we had to make an additional trip to the office. There was also confusion about what to do with the trash once we checked out. The note on fridge says to see the map that was laid out and haul trash out to a dump site. There wasn’t map provided though. I messaged host but didn’t hear back on what to do with the trash until we already left. Once we left we got a message to bring trash to office but it was too late since we already left and dropped off keys at the office. Minor issues but a lovely home in a great location.

The view from the front porch was priceless. The cabin and yard are so cozy and spacious and the staff is kind and very helpful. My only complaint was the last family who stayed in the cabin before we did left all their pets feces behind. My family and filled a trash bag with feces as soon as we arrived. It was all over the yard. Once we did that the stay was so pleasant, quiet, and peaceful. Exactly what my family and I needed on this little natures getaway. Taking walks with my pup was the highlight for me because we saw cute little bunnies and what appeared to be chipmunks running freely in the neighborhood. I would definitely love to revisit. The cabins location couldn’t be placed in a better spot. Views of the lake and the pine tree forest in the distance was the most beautiful sight.

I would rate it higher if we didn't encounter some basic problems. My sister and I are seniors and first thing we couldn't figure out was the tv. No instructions and we had an awful time navigating the two remotes in the living room. Second thing was the microwave. All we could figure out was beverage and baked potato. Never did figure out how to just set a time to heat up whatever we were trying to heat up. Third thing was the master bathroom shower. Couldn't get it to move to hot. The location was very nice. Can't beat that view. Beds weren't all that comfortable, but we managed. My suggestion for that tv is to leave instructions. That was the most frustrating. My sister is a tv fanatic. Cool Cabins was the best choice for my vacation. I avoided the institutional box hotels/resorts and the densely packed cookie-cutter mini-cabins. My unique rustic-looking cabin was spacious, clean, had modern features, and a large tree-shaded backyard 50 feet from Big Bear Lake with mountains in the background. Can't get better than that.

Everything was just perfect, short walk to the lakes edge and the cabin was perfectly comfortable.

Great location with easy access to the lake. Beautiful landscaping with a covered rear porch/deck. Cozy living room with beautiful view of lake. Kitchen was great and stocked with necessary equipment. Plenty of towels in bathrooms. Bedding is dated, thin blankets and could use upgrading. No access to garage so parking is tight. But we would come again!

We spent 3 days in this lovely cabin with our 2 dogs. The yard is fenced and has carpeting on most of the floors so the dogs don't slip, they were very happy. There is also a kennel if you need to leave your pups, but we found the whole area Very Dog Friendly. The 4 of us enjoyed fishing on a pontoon boat, kayaking, and dining on a local restaurant patio. We hope to return next year. Sue and Larry

We chose this particular cabin because we brought our dog and the house had a fenced yard with a view of the lake. It did not disappoint. Everything went smoothly and our order of firewood and breakfast food was there when we arrived. We would definitely use your company again. It was a good time of the month to visit. Thank you!

Our family had a great visit in May 2022 at the Stillwater Cove Property. Many upgrades have been added to this old cabin and the interior and exterior are very nice.We ran into several maintenance issues during our visit, and they were handled quicky by the Big Bear Cool Cabins Staff.Overall, the cabin is in in pretty good shape but there is a need for general maintenance work such as shower drains, shower leaks, interior doors closing and latching, blinds missing in the 2nd bedroom and some electrical issues in the kitchen to be repaired in the cabin.Also, the bedrooms lacked dressers in which to store clothes.Thank you.
