Loved the cabin and had a great time with my fam! Just wish more instructions were given for hot tub use. We didn’t know how long it took to warm up (temp wasn’t turned up for us before arrival) so we didn’t get to enjoy it during our stay. Maintenance crew came out quickly and were friendly and helpful in explaining to me just wish we had the chance to use it since that was main reason for our booking.

Big Bear Cool Cabins were great! They had a speedy reply with any questions we had. All directions and expectations were clear and simple. We loved it. The place was awesome and close to where we needed to be for our event. Will definitely use them again.

We loved our "Bear Retreat". It was the perfect stay for the weekend and in a great location. Easy access to everything we needed. We will definitely look into staying there again. :)

"This cabin was conveniently located a short walk from Snow Summit that it was an easy walk back and forth as I couldn't ski due to my pregnancy. It allowed me to watch the family during tubing and ski lessons while walking back to check on my elderly father and grab any forgotten items. The cabin was a lot nicer than we anticipated and still had plenty of space for the kids to enjoy while the adults relaxed."

Down the street from Snow summit, 5 minute drive to Bear Mountain, walking distance to 7-11, and easy parking in front of cabin. Pretty modern and up to date cabin, everything was great would definitely rent again.

Bear Retreat is perfect for everyone. Located in a beautiful, desirable area of Big Bear close to Snow Summit Ski Resort, local shops and restaurants, and more. Modern aesthetics meet mountain charm in this gorgeous two-story home with central heating!

LIVING SPACE - Spacious 1500 sq ft home with living room, dining table, bar seating, a smart TV, a beautiful wood burning fireplace, and plenty of comfortable living room seating. 

ROOMS & BEDS - 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. Upstairs first bedroom has a queen bed and deck. Upstairs second bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk beds. Extra blankets and pillows are available. 

KITCHEN - Stainless steel appliances, stove, oven, double door refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, crockpot, rice cooker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, and more. 

AMENITIES - Board games include Cards Against Humanity Family Edition, Chutes and Ladders, and more. Smart TVs with Roku, streaming apps, and fast WiFi. Relax in the jetted tub or near the cozy wood burning fireplace. Laundry area with side-by-side washer/dryer.

OUTDOORS - Hot tub, gas barbecue, upstairs balcony, and back deck. Walk right to the chairlift, local shops and restaurants, or take a short drive to the lake or Village. 

PARKING - 1 car parking

Close to National Forest hiking trails
Snow Summit - close walk
Lake - 1.4 miles
Village - 1.9 miles
Bear Mountain - 2.5 miles

Other things to note:
Big Bear Lake local ordinance 99.300 limits maximum occupancy to 6 people. Children, toddlers, and infants do count as a person. Occupancy is permitted per City Ordinance - over occupancy could result in a fine or non-refundable eviction.
